This hotel suits me perfectly, with a fitness center, outdoor pool, and 24-hour reception. The staff kindly helped me with directions on my first stay. I recommend exploring local dining options nearby. I'm excited to return for Xmas!

Ideal place, it was clean and had attentive staff from the bar to the maids. We booked a newly decorated king room with a wonderful buffet breakfast. The location was stunning and wonderful - only a short distance to everywhere we wanted to go. There was a good restaurant, fairgrounds and a market next door.

The location of the hotel was perfect because it was in the middle of all the sights we planned on seeing. We also liked the sports bar that is apart of the hotel. It made it nice for my husband and I to have some appetizers and few drinks before going up to our room.

The hotel features a friendly staff, and the comfortable beds. The outdated rooms were disappointing, and the lack of water pressure in the shower hindered my experience. The noise from the pool below was also bothersome, affecting my relaxation.

The bed...very comfortable!!
The noise of other guest next door, banging of doors, their kids running around. The swimming pool was close on the second day we stayed. One of the reasons why I chose Marriott is because of the swimming pool.

The staff were very friendly and greated everyone. If you needed anything they were there. Great staff!!!
The pillows were either to soft or to hard. We usually bring our own and we didn't this time our mistake. Feather comforters are nice when it is cold but the weather was great and comforter was to Hot and there were no other blankets. First night there was a todler crying most of the night but that is not the hotel's falt, it is a family place. We would have liked to know they were renivating the pool and hot tub before we went down there. Summertime is not the time to do that.

Great Location and Comfortable Stay
I stayed in a King Room with Bay View for 2 nights, and I appreciated the excellent location near Cannery Row and other attractions. The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was comfortable, made coming back after a day of exploring a delight. The valets were a bit slow at times, which could be improved.

Clean.
Compared to Embassy Suites, Monterey Marriot really lacks in comfort and quality. Having two rooms with two tvs (in every room), like Embassy Suites, is priceless. At this Marriot, rooms are hard to find. The elevators are lame. The lobby is lame. The room service food is pretty bad (especially the calamari). Worst of all, valet parking is mandatory and the Marriot costs $135-175 more than Embassy Suites. I'm sticking to Embassy Suites.

It was convienient and in excellent condition.
The parking was by valet and the front bumper of the rental car was badly scoffed with red paint wyhen it was brought to me. I didn't notice it until I had left the hotel.
